What should a host do?

                Sometimes poeple are still confused or even mistaken when they are being a host in a talk show event. However, being a host is not difficult as they think if they have already known about the basic. Well, here are my understanding of being a host.

a.        Set the background of the talk show

·         Is it live talk show or not?

·         What is the talk show about?

·         Is the circumstance serious, or humor?

·         Have the stage been set properly?

b.        Have a great opening

·         Control the audience to make them pay attention to the talk show

·         Introduce who the guest(s) is(are) to the audience

c.         Control the context of the talk show

·         The way the host give questions and response guest’s answers are very important

·         Keep controlling the time

d.        Have a great behavior (depends on what kind of talk show is)

·         The gesture—including facial expressions

o Relax

·         Eyes contact—between the guest(s) and the audience/camera

·         Sometimes, make a joke is fine but do not be too often.

e.         Have a great closing

·           Give a final touch.
